HONDO

were killing it.

just working hard. i cant say any more. i learned what GRACE is this week.

the scriptures say ¨ by grace we are saved after ALL THAT WE CAN DO¨ i invite everyone this week to look at your life this week and really ask if you have done everything you can do to be closer to christ. everything you can do. its alot. but we will be blessed for it.

other then that i went on divisions with an elder named elder chicaiza yesterday. hes from ecuador. for real this kid is insane. me and him have really gotten close. we have a blast when we go on divisions.  yesterday we got talking with a lady and her daughter. they started flirting with us. which was way gross. the mom asked me if i thought her daughter was attractive. i said ¨email me in a year and a half and ill tell you.¨ this is where elder chicaiza bumped in and told the lady that on a scale of 1 to 10 her daughter is a 3 and that the mom is a 1. it was super awkward. but somhow they still want to listen to us. SI HOMBRE.

that was a good laugh for me this week. everyone. read your scriptures and go to church. for real. thats all i can ask.

much love

New Area

sorry everyone for how sucky i am. i got some catching up to do.

last week i got transfered. my new area is called La Ceiba. its one of the big cities in the mission and its close to the beach. its pretty sweet. i want to give a shout out to my old area. La Sarrosa. thats my hometown. ill never forget those people. but ive just been getting used to the area these few weeks. some good experiences this week.

1. like 2 hours ago when i was eating lunch at some old ladies house, we got talking with the uncle in the family. just talking about what we beleive in. when we started talking about adam and eve and thats were all of humanity started he started laughing. saying ¨you guys really beleive in that garbage!?¨so we asked him what he beleived in. he continued to tell us that the human race evolved from mermaids. MERMAIDS. how can mermaids be more beleivable then adam and eve????? so that was a good time.

2. thursday we went to the house early because me and my comp were sick. we got to sleep at about 9. the other elders that live in the apartment next to us got home at 9:30 and saw that our house was completly dark. and they got really worried. they called our phones and some members in our ward and they didnt know where we were. so this freaking elder decided the best option was to kick our door down. so thats what he does. he kicks the door down. busts all the locks out of the wall, just to find us sleeping in our beds. so now our apartment in one of the skechiest countries in the world doesnt have a functioning door. looks like ill be hinding all my valubles for my time here.

other then that nothing really happened. just teaching with fire. were working our butts off. serving the lord man.

everyone go to church. read your scriptures and say your prayers. i cant ask for anything more.

wooohooo

Was Up Man!

hey everyone. i hope everyone went and read alma 5 last week and thought about it. and if not do it this week.

as for this week it was pretty good. just working hard everyday.. i went to an actualy gym for the first time in 5 months today. ive gained 2 pounds the whole time ive been here! which is a christmas miracle compared to some people here who gain like 40. but a good week.

this week were were teaching a member. i think shes one of the oldest members in the ward. shes 80 somthing. shes a stud. she only has one tooth and so she kind of whistles when she talks. in the middle of the lesson her 30 year old son comes sprinting in the house drunk as can be with a machete in 1 hand and a cigarette in the other. i thought i was going to die. the first thing the drunks do when they see me is try to speak english. so he just kept yelling WAS UP MAN at me till he go tired. then he sat down and listened to the lesson till a cat walked by. so he started mewoing at the cat and finding food to feed it. it was a sweet experience. word of wisdom everybody.

we baptized micheal this week. hes uncle baptized him. everytime i see the picture of his baptisim i just laugh. i dont know why. the old lady with one tooth is in it showing off her new bible. too funny. i love the people here. they make me laugh alot. i hope everyone has a good week. keep working hard, and trusting in the lord

keep fighting the good fight, survival.

Listen Up Ya'll

hey everyone. this week has been sweet. everyone pay attention to this letter.

ill start off with the funny.

so it was our investigators birthday this week. and as for tradition here, they crack eggs on your head when its your birthday. so i roll in to a members house and our investigator (who we were going to put a baptisimal date with) was sitting there in the house waiting to get taught. the girl in the family walks over to me and puts an egg in my hand. and im just thinking what the freak is this. then i remember its our investigators birthday. so i sneak over to him all smooth, hit his hat off his head and smack him on the back of the head with this egg. ( in this moment i forgot that im a missionary and not a punk anymore) i ran away laughing waiting for the investigator to come over and laugh with me... but no... he got super pissed. and just runs out the door pissed of and runs to his house. so me and my comp sprint after him anf finally find him. and i begged for forgivness. haha. and later that night he accpeted a baptisimal date and is getting baptized this friday. SI OMBE

so that was pretty bad.

but this week i wanted to challenge everyone to read a chapter in the book of mormon. its ALMA CHAPTER 5. please, just take a couple minutes out of your day and just read it. im not going to lie, its a bit harsh, but its the truth and its what we all need to here...

so if you got this email, ill be expecting a email this monday hearing what you think about it. sorry if this is difficult homework.. but really, think about this scripture and how you can change your life accordingly.

sorry for preaching, just love you all. haha

everyone have a great week. keep working hard. keep fighting the good fight. survival.
